What's new in Cleetus
Release notes for the extension and the IDE preview, newest first.
Cleetus 1.11.3
This patch fixes approval and lifecycle edge cases in encrypted team collaboration. Declined incoming approvals and stale task-board approvals now produce durable rejection and a sender receipt. Unexpected acceptance failures remain fenced for reconciliation, including failures before dispatch. A stale listener start cannot close a newer listener after Stop/Start. Existing pairing, local scope and execution approvals remain intact.
The corresponding native dev.4 preview restores saved conversations alongside teams, preserves exact Design conversation handoffs across view readiness/reload, and exposes shared Tools, work tracking, memory and settings through a Workspace menu. Review offers a direct GitHub configuration path. Existing task-owned histories remain inspectable without granting a new execution lease.
Native agent cards, topology, member lists and shared team layouts use a forty-portrait Cleetus robot catalog. Every one of the thirty-three distinct prebuilt roles has unique artwork; unrecognized or unspecified roles use a generalist robot. The supplied originals are preserved, with twenty-seven newly generated role PNGs. The canonical navigation logo remains unchanged. Live engine and execution labels stay separate from the persona illustrations.
The native preview also restores the three open-source JavaScript debugging extensions pinned by the official Code OSS revision. Downloads come from their exact official GitHub releases and are SHA-256 verified; MIT notices are retained. Its host smoke launches an isolated Node program, pauses, inspects the stack, evaluates a value and resumes to a verified exit.
Native Studio assets remain outside the Apache VSIX. The native app remains an unsigned, unnotarized development preview. Physical two-computer collaboration and live provider work remain separate validation boundaries.
Cleetus 1.11.2
This release adds opt-in encrypted collaboration between two Cleetus teams on the same directly attached private IPv4 subnet. Open Agents & Teams → Collaborate on LAN, choose your local team, and create or join a one-use invitation that expires within ten minutes. Both people compare the matching eight-digit TLS code and approve within two minutes. OpenSSL must be available on PATH on both computers.
Outgoing messages and task proposals require local approval of their exact content; incoming imports require a separate local decision. Accepted tasks stay pending. Approved messages remain in a separate team inbox, available to authenticated local members through scoped tools, and are not automatically sent as agent prompts. Pairing grants no files, commands, provider accounts or credentials. Connections are session-only, with explicit revoke/stop controls and no automatic discovery, reconnect or replay.
The corresponding native 0.1.0-dev.3 interface adds a compact branded editor/preview workspace, central Agent Command, orbital team topology with real states, a pan/zoom workflow canvas, source-backed split/unified review, and live Design component controls. The user guide includes actual native captures from a disposable local project, with ready, unstarted members and pending tasks. No providers were started for those captures.
The extension remains independently packaged and distributed. Native-only Studio assets and their Preview License stay outside the Apache VSIX. Native dev.3 remains a local unsigned, unnotarized development app; no signed public native installer is available. Two-physical-machine LAN acceptance and live coordinated provider work are not established by the local screenshots or fixture checks.
Validation: the integrated regression suite completed with 571 passed, one skipped and no failures (572 total). The peer slice includes a real separate-process TLS exchange with independent project/team IDs, approval fixtures, pending task import, receipts and revocation. Native package verification confirms the Apache VSIX/Preview overlay boundary and external SDK policy. The existing v1.11.1 release is unchanged.
Cleetus 1.11.1
Keep live page and component previews inside their current Design review when starting a local preview server. Local previews no longer change the containing webview's remote port mappings. Remote mappings remain explicit and idempotent.
This patch preserves the existing VS Code extension and the IDE's Cleetus-owned agent interface. Claude and Codex remain external engine installs. The native IDE continues as an unsigned local development preview, separately versioned from this VSIX release.
Cleetus 1.11.0
Cleetus continues as a VS Code extension while sharing its application runtime with the developing Cleetus IDE.
- Recover live Design previews when a previously missing source dependency is created and the operating system misses its directory notification.
- Preserve typed Design destinations, extraction briefs and model/effort choices across workspace navigation and webview reloads.
- Share durable task ownership, team history/recovery, approved workflow DAGs, explicit automation and verified Git worktree services with application hosts.
- Keep agent execution and review separate. Task reports request review, stale ownership cannot report using an old generation, and interrupted side effects are not automatically replayed.
- Preserve the existing extension chat, accounts, tools, Design workspace, separate runtime installation and public VSIX update path.
The native IDE remains a separate development product with an independent version and installer lifecycle. This VSIX release does not install the IDE or represent a signed native application release. Claude and Codex runtimes, accounts, native toolchains and third-party usage remain separate.
Cleetus VS Code extension 1.10.2
- Public releases and documentation are published separately from private development source.
- Distribution workflows now run exclusively on self-hosted infrastructure.
- Update checks use the public release repository; downloads remain checksum verified and require an explicit installation choice.
If you use 1.10.0 or earlier, manually install this version once to switch to the public update location. A packaged Cleetus IDE is not included in this extension release.
Cleetus VS Code extension 1.10.1
- Updates now come from the public Cleetus releases repository.
- Public installation and product documentation are published separately from source development.
- VSIX downloads remain checksum verified and require an explicit install choice.
- This release includes the shared application and host-adapter foundation introduced in 1.10.0.
This is a VS Code extension release. A packaged Cleetus IDE is not included. Future IDE preview builds will have their own license and platform-specific release assets. Existing Apache-2.0 notices and third-party licenses remain applicable to their respective portions.
